MeleaB

Poker Minion Developer

I have been a Poker Pro for over 10 years; an "old school" 24-tabling, multiple SNE grinder with around 20 million hands played. I'm well known on the 2+2 forums and in wider poker circles, and I have an excellent, long-held reputation in those communities. In the past I have represented the players in meetings with Pokerstars, as well as being very vocal in expressing concerns about the various changes that Pokerstars have introduced.

It's important that you are able to trust the software that you are using, especially in today's poker environment, and my goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and useful program to assist you while playing. In addition, I pride myself on providing the best possible support and customer service. I make myself available as often as possible to ensure that any issues or questions you have are sorted promptly. Cheers! :)

PokerStars Interview

February, 2014

"Some players are swingy. Others demonstrate an enviable show of steady consistency, but have you ever heard of anyone notching up 113 consecutive winning months? It's a claim made by Mike "MeleaB" Brooks, a 42-year-old Supernova Elite grinder who recently entered the PokerStars Hall of Fame for clocking up 5,000,000 VPPs and more than 15,000,000 hands, picking up an exclusive Slyde watch in the process..."

PokerNews Interview

August, 2011

"Mike "MeleaB" Brooks moved to the U.S. in 2000 on a teaching program, with nary a thought about online poker; however, like many Brits, he did know a bit about online sports betting. While playing on Betfair, he discovered poker in 2003, and by March of 2006, Brooks had taken up the game full time. While he played primarily on Full Tilt Poker, he made the switch to PokerStars in 2008 and reached SNE status shortly thereafter. When the events of Black Friday happened, Brooks was living in North Carolina, and within a week, he had uprooted his family and headed back to England, quite possibly making him the first online pro to do so..."

"Mike Brooks aka "MeleaB" is an English poker player who achieved Supernova Elite status on PokerStars for several years in a row. Mike was living with his family in the United States when Black Friday happened and was possibly the first poker refugee to leave the country to continue playing online. Mike joins us in episode 386 to talk about the changes to the PokerStars VIP club as of 2016."
